Introduction

Physical education provides cognitive content and instruction designed to develop motor skills, knowledge, and behaviors for physical activity and physical fitness. Supporting schools to establish physical education daily can provide students with the ability and confidence to be physically active for a lifetime.

To enhance and create awareness on various activities and facilities offered by the Department of Physical Education.
To indentify talent at the entry level and create an opportunity to take part in state, national and inter-university competitions.
To identify the coaches and provide systematic coaching to the students to build their talents.
To ensure maximaum utilisation of all the available sports facilities.
To provide incentives and awards to maintain and sustain interest amongst the university sportsperson.
