The BSc in Economics with Data Science is a program designed to equip students with the tools and knowledge needed to excel in today’s data-driven economy. This program blends a strong foundation in economic theory with cutting-edge data science techniques, providing students with the skills to analyze and interpret complex datasets in a wide range of economic contexts.
Students will explore core areas of economics, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics, while gaining hands-on experience in data science methods such as data management, modeling, machine learning, and visualization. The integration of these disciplines prepares graduates to tackle real-world economic challenges using both theoretical knowledge and practical data analysis skills.
This program is ideal for students who are passionate about understanding economic phenomena and want to leverage data to drive insights and solutions in fields like finance, policy-making, business strategy, and public health. By combining the analytical rigor of economics with the technical expertise of data science, graduates will be well-prepared for a variety of roles in research, consulting, government, and private industry.
Through long duration internships, capstone projects, and collaborations with experts, students will gain the experience needed to become leaders in both economics and data science.
